The BJP’s fifth candidate list| Arun Govil debut with Election 2024 | Maneka Gandhi keeping her seat while Varun Gandhi dropped
Kangana Ranaut and ‘Ramayan’ actor Arun Govil make their poll debut with the BJP in lok sabha election 2024. The party dismissed Varun Gandhi from the Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat while keeping his mother, Maneka Gandhi, from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Arun Govil just joined the BJP, along with Anuradha Paudwal. In the Meerut contest, he will take over for BJP MP Rajendra Agrawal. Since 2009, Mr. Agarwal has been elected to Parliament three times from the Meerut-Hapur constituency.
The BJP, which has been holding a number of electoral rallies, named 111 new candidates for the Lok Sabha elections Thursday evening. After losing a close election in 2019, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and party spokesperson Sambit Patra will run again in Sambalpur and Puri, respectively. Big names have been removed, including Union Ministers Ashwini Kumar Choubey and VK Singh, as well as MP Varun Gandhi.
Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil, two popular actors, are on the BJP’s current list of candidates for the next Lok Sabha election. Arun Govil, who played Ram in the classic television series Ramayan, has been nominated for the Meerut Lok Sabha constituency, while Bollywood actor Ranaut will run from her hometown of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
Sarju Singh Ranaut, Ms Ranaut’s great-grandfather, was a Congress MLA. Kangana Ranaut posted on X about her debut with BJP.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not fielded Varun Gandhi for Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit seat in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. He is now the MP representing this Lok Sabha constituency. In the Pilibhit Lok Sabha constituency, the BJP fielded Uttar Pradesh minister Jitin Prasada instead of Gandhi. Varun Gandhi’s mother, Maneka Gandhi, will run for the Sultanpur seat, from where she is already an MP.
