On February 23, the defending champions Mumbai Indians and inaugural edition runners-up Delhi Capitals will face off at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in the WPL 2024 opener.
The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024) will commence on February 23 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The opening match of the WPL 2024 will be between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and the inaugural edition runners-up, Delhi Capitals.
Format for Women’s IPL 2024::
The format of WPL 2024 remains the same as the previous season.
All five teams will play each other twice.
The top club on the WPL points table will advance directly to the final.
The second and third-placed teams will face off in Eliminator.
The victor of Eliminator will face off against the table toppers in the grand final.
WPL 2024 Full Schedule & Venues::
The second edition of the WPL will take place in two sites. The first leg of the competition will take place at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, while the second leg, as well as the Eliminator and final, will be held at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
There will be no doubleheaders throughout the tournament.
